Sardinia is also a land of art. It can be traveled through the "Monumenti Aperti"(Open Monuments) event to discover over 270 monuments: archeological sites, churches, artistic and historical assts as well as naturalistic pathways of special beauty and charm disseminated throughout some 45 municipalities. You can visit MAN, the art museum in Nuoro, admire the timeless works of major Sardinian artists of the 20th century, as well as its international temporary exhibitions. Exhibitions and installations are hosted every year at the Palazzo della Frumentaria in Sassari. In autumn, it may be nice to "lose your way" in the streets of the village of Orani, hometown of Costantino Nivola, which every year proposes artistic expressions between the ancient and contemporary eras.
